reDiscovery Podcast S3E6 – Umoja: Making travel accessible for the disabled

We met Yeshwant at a party last Diwali, which is where we learnt about Umoja and the work Yeshwant is doing to make travel accessible to all, especially those with physical disabilities. Over future meetings we learnt more about him and his incredible company which for the last couple of years has been working with hotels, restaurants and tour providers across India and abroad to certify and rate their properties as suitable for use by disabled travellers.

In this episode we talk to Yeshwant about his journey, the genesis of Umoja and why the travel industry needs to look at disabled travellers and making travel more accessible not only through the prism of doing good but also from the perspective of leveraging this large and untapped niche of travellers.
